EPFL PHYS-760 PhD Course: CIBM Translational MR neuroimaging & spectroscopy

As part of CIBM’s Teaching Initiative 2022,  the newly created CIBM Translational MR Neuroimaging & Spectroscopy PhD course PHYS-760 / 3 crédits takes place from April 24th- May 5th, 2023 at the EPFL.

It is a comprehensive course on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Spectroscopy (MRS) for PhD students and Post-docs across the Lemanic region. The CIBM Core and AAA members who will be teaching and sharing their expertise are :

The topics are experimental design, data gathering, and processing in MRS, as well as, structural and functional MRI in both humans and rodents. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to understand the physical principles of MRI and MRS, design a translational study, establish MRI and MRS acquisition protocols, and analyze results for their research interests. Additionally, they will be able to perform MRI, MRS, and DWI, as well as perform simple quantification and modelling on provided data. The program will also provide an opportunity for students to work on hands-on exercises and questions in groups, fostering interdisciplinary interaction and collaboration.

This is a great opportunity to learn and enhance your skills in the field of MRI and MRS.
