The complexities of Hepatic Encephalopathy
HE is a metabolic disorder that by definition is reversible. However, there are many reports demonstrating patients are still suffering from neurological complications post-liver transplantation. The impact of HE pre-liver transplant is suspected to play a deciphering role and the implications of neuronal cell loss/degeneration will be presented and discussed.
