The CIBM was proud to sponsor and actively participate in the 2026 edition of the biennial Swiss Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Symposium held on 5th February at EPFL in Lausanne. The event gathered more than 200 researchers and experts from across Switzerland, representing diverse disciplines like biomedical applications, chemistry, materials science, and physics.

CIBM had a strong presence at the event, with invited presentations by CIBM core members Prof. Dimitrios Karampinos and Dr. Lijing Xin from the CIBM MRI EPFL MR Imaging Technology Section. Participants also had the chance to learn more about our activities at the dedicated CIBM booth and during informal discussion sessions throughout the day.

As part of the event, CIBM hosted two guided visits to the CIBM Pre-Clinical Imaging – EPFL Metabolic Imaging Section led by Dr. Cristina Cudalbu. The visits attracted 30 enthusiastic participants, who had the opportunity to explore CIBM’s unique research infrastructure and gain hands-on insight into cutting-edge metabolic imaging research. We would like to warmly thank our core members Bernard LanzThanh Phong LêEstelle Gerossierand Miguel Molina for their precious support during the day both at the booth and during the visits.

CIBM thanks all attendees, collaborators, and conveys a special thanks to the EPFL local organizers Prof. Lyndon Emsley and Dr. Ran Wei from the Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance  who made this inspiring event a great success and looks forward to continued exchanges within the vibrant Swiss magnetic resonance community.
