Preclinical Imaging Course 2023, Life Sciences PhD School, Biomedical Program, UNIGE
The Life Sciences PhD School at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) is hosting the Preclinical Imaging Course 2023 (PIC) from February 20th to 23rd. The course, which falls under the Biomedical Program and carries 1.5 ECTs, aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of preclinical imaging techniques and their applications.
The program, which comprises theoretical sessions in the morning and hands-on sessions with imaging scanners and image analysis in the afternoon, covers various aspects of preclinical imaging. On the first day, students will receive a general introduction to preclinical imaging, Computed Tomography (CT), and Optical Imaging (OI). On the second day, the focus will shift to Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single-Photon Emission Computerized Tomography (SPECT). The third day will cover Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The fourth and final day will include wrap-up sessions, discussions, and an evaluation in the form of an MCQ.
