Sarah Worreth
CIBM MRI EPFL Animal Imaging and Technology Section
Sarah Worreth joined the CIBM MRI EPFL section in February 2023 for the InnoSuisse project with the start-up Volumina Medical. She worked several years for the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Center of Biomechanics and Biomaterials at the University of Basel as a R&D microbiology technician. Two scientific papers have resulted from these years of collaboration with the University of Basel and Bottmedical AG®, one of which Sarah Worreth is the principal author. A medical device was also developed thanks to her research and is now marketed worldwide, the Naturaligner.
Sarah Worreth obtained her Professional Degree in Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnologies with a specialization in the cells and organisms biotechnologies at the University of Paris, France, in October 2022. She performed her apprenticeship at Roche Diagnostics France in Meylan, France, as a senior laboratory technician in anatomy pathology and immunohistochemistry. It is notably thanks to this professional experience that oncology and histology became her favorite subjects to study.
