Jocelyn Grosse completed an MSc in Neuropsychopharmacology of Cognitive Processes at the University of Bordeaux in 2008, graduating with distinction, ranking first in his class. He gained experience in neuropharmacology and behavioral studies through research roles at Sanofi-Aventis R&D and Addex Pharmaceuticals, focusing on pharmacological and behavioral evaluations in rodent models related to cognition, anxiety, depression, and neurological disorders.
In 2010, Jocelyn took on the role of lab manager  in the Laboratory of Behavioral Genetics at EPFL  headed by Prof. Carmen Sandi. He coordinated in vivo research activities, managed transgenic mouse lines, oversaw laboratory safety and biosafety, mentored students, and led collaborative research projects.He was involved in studies investigating the effects of stress during adolescence and adulthood, as well as the complex relationships between anxiety, mitochondrial function, social hierarchy, and motivation.

With over 15 years of experience in animal research, Jocelyn holds an animal experimentation certificate and is a certified instructor. He has strong expertise in behavioral testing, surgical techniques, and regulatory compliance, ensuring high standards in animal welfare and research quality.

In April 2025, Jocelyn Grosse joined the CIBM Pre-Clinical Imaging EPFL Metabolic Imaging Section.
