Cristina Colangelo obtained her PhD in Neuroscience from EPFL in 2022 with a thesis titled “Neuromodulation of cortical microcircuits: a multiscale framework to model the effects of cholinergic release” under the supervision of Prof. Henry Markram. After a brief postdoc in the same lab she occupied the role of Scientific Outreach Specialist for nearly 2 years, before the conclusion of the project.  Cristina’s background is in biological sciences and neurobiology and she completed her studies at University of Milan in 2014 (B.Sc.) and University of Pavia in 2016 (M.SC.) Outside of work, Cristina is a science communicator, a dance teacher and performer and an advocate for mental health rights.

In April 2025, Cristina Colangelo joined the CIBM EEG HUG UNIGE  Clinical and Translational  Neuroimaging Section as a postdoctoral-researcher for the SNSF project: “Innovating neurofeedback therapy for ADHD by training real-time brain (micro)states” with PI Tomas Ros.
