CIBM MRI EPFL Animal Imaging and Technology Section
Constance Lesage earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology, followed by a master’s in Biotechnologies at the University of Nantes. During her master’s, she conducted a research internship on breast cancer cell response to radiotherapy. She then pursued a PhD in regenerative medicine, developing stratified materials for osteoarticular regeneration. In collaboration with HTL Biotechnology (France) and the RMeS Lab (University of Nantes – France), she worked on biomaterial development, optimization, and in vivo testing.
Currently, Dr. Lesage is a Scientist in Preclinical Affairs and Clinical Translation at the CIBM Center for Biomedical Imaging at EPFL, collaborating with Volumina Medical in an Innosuisse-supported project. Her research focuses on the preclinical evaluation of biomaterials, integrating in vivo studies, biological characterization, and medical imaging to advance regenerative medicine solutions.
