Sébastien Courvoisier
CIBM MRI HUG-UNIGE Clinical MR Imaging Section
Master degree in biophysics at University of Geneva, Switzerland (2009-2011). PhD in applied physics at the Group of Applied Physics, Biophotonics Group, University of Geneva, Switzerland (2011-2016), Director: Prof. Jean-Pierre Wolf, thesis: “Optimized Ultrafast Laser Cell Poration” about femtosecond-lasers applications on cell nano-surgery. In 2017, I joined the CIBM, IRM-3T HUG core. The field of MRI physics matches strongly my interest in biological applications. Both my backgrounds in biology and physics are a good point of view to decipher the MR signal stemming from a living organism in a MRI and to investigate promising quantitative imaging. More specifically, my research focus are artefact corrections, image reconstruction and MR spectroscopy analysis using machine learning. Within the IRM-3T HUG core, I am in charge of the fMRI setup and providing support to other research groups for fMRI applications.
