Emilie Sleight

Emilie Sleight completed her BSc and MSc in Physics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). During her studies, she specialized in biomedical technologies and gained experience in fMRI and sequence development. She carried out her Master’s thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, where she investigated changes in CEST NMR signals during protein aggregation. In 2023, she obtained her PhD from the University of Edinburgh on the assessment of cerebrovascular reactivity in patients with sporadic cerebral small vessel disease. She joined the CIBM MRI EPFL section in June 2023 and her current focus is on method development for clinical studies at 7T.
