The CIBM-CHUV-MR Retreat is an annual event with international participation that brings together basic scientists, clinical scientists, clinicians, and industry representatives to critically review progress of our MR research that has a strong focus on cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death in industrialized nations. In a relaxed atmosphere free of daily commitments, PhD students present their research findings, medical professionals share their insights from a clinical point of view, invited international leaders in the field provide a broader perspective, and industry representatives emphasize a complementary viewpoint relevant to our field of study. Individual achievements and excellence are celebrated during a “Dinner & Awards” ceremony that is co-sponsored by CIBM.
