On April 27, 2026, the CIBM PCI HUG-UNIGE section, together with the Small Animal Preclinical Imaging Platform (PIPPA), hosted the Mediso French-speaking Users Meeting at the Centre Médical Universitaire (CMU), University of Geneva.

This one-day event, organized in collaboration with Mediso France, brought together users of Mediso imaging systems from multiple academic and clinical centers across Europe, including Geneva (HUG and UNIGE), GAIA Grenoble, Sorbonne Université (LIMP), CERIMED Marseille, Université de Bourgogne, University of Milano-Bicocca (Monza, Italy), and Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

The morning session featured a series of scientific presentations covering both technological developments and preclinical applications of molecular imaging. Topics included the development of CCR5-targeted radiopharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetic modeling of radiotracers, implementation of advanced MRI sequences, and the development of nanobody-based theranostic agents. The session also included an overview of recent innovations in Mediso imaging systems presented by the Mediso team.

In the afternoon, participants were invited to visit the CIBM PCI HUG-UNIGE and PIPPA facility, providing direct insight into preclinical imaging platforms and their translational applications. The program also included guided tours of the HUG Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging division, presented by Luca Marion, and of the cyclotron unit, presented by Dr. Frédéric Bois, offering a comprehensive overview from radiotracer production to clinical implementation.

The day concluded with a round table discussion led by the Mediso team, including Valentin Schimpf (Mediso France), Jérémy Levet (Mediso France), and Dorottya Zsófia Szabó (Mediso Ltd.), who engaged with users to answer questions and discuss technical and practical aspects of the systems in an open and interactive setting.

We sincerely thank all speakers and participants for their presence, their curiosity, and the high quality of the discussions, which made this meeting both scientifically enriching and highly engaging.

We also warmly thank Mediso France for organizing this event in close collaboration with our teams, and we are particularly grateful to the Mediso representatives for their presence and valuable contributions throughout the day.
