The platform and team of the CIBM MRI UNIGE Section led by Patrik Vuilleumier were featured in the Greek documentary “Dear Future” centered on memory and archives. Several scenes were filmed at the BBL, and MRI screenshots and sounds appear throughout the film to support its central theme: that memories are rooted in affect and values.

The documentary uses these scientific and visual elements to connect brain imaging with broader reflections on how memory is formed, preserved, and interpreted. By incorporating real MRI material and the expertise of the CIBM team, the film offers a distinctive bridge between neuroscience and the humanities.

“An underground archive in the Arctic, museum artefacts awaiting their fate in a storage room in the Netherlands, hidden rock markings in a forest in Switzerland, and a neuroscience study on emotion, reveal a world paused, turning inward, waiting to be shaped by memory and nature; a liminal space between what’s lost and what’s yet to come.”
