CIBM and its collaborators had a major presence in several symposia during the Cognitive Neuroscience Society Annual Meeting, which took place on March 13-16, 2021.
CIBM research staff scientist, Dr. Benedetta Franceschiello, and CIBM Affiliate member, Dr. Anna Gaglianese, from the Laboratory for Investigative Neurophysiology (LINE) at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) organised and chaired two Symposium Sessions entitled New Frontiers and Technologies in Vision Rehabilitation and New Insights on Multisensory Brain Organization from Multivoxel Pattern Analysis MVPA to Laminar FMRI, respectively, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, 2:00-4:00 pm (ET),
While the work resulting from a long standing collaboration between Dr. Natalie Maitre from the Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Ohio State University and Prof. Micah M. Murray, Head of LINE and the CIBM EEG CHUV-UNIL Section, was presented on Sunday, March 14, 2021, 2:00-4:00 pm (ET) in Talk 4: “Neonatal multisensory processing: From observation to interventions” of the symposium session entitled Studying the Neonatal and Infant Brain: From Neuroscience to Interventions.
Also on March 14th, in the Invited Symposium 2 – Implications of Anatomical Brain Network Features for Cognition chaired by Danielle S. Bassett, Dr. Maria-Giulia Preti, research staff scientist in the CIBM SP EPFL-UNIGE Section gave a talk on “Exploring Brain Function-Structure Coupling During Resting-State and Tasks”.

About CNS Annual Meeting
Each year, in the springtime, the Cognitive Neuroscience Society (CNS) holds an annual meeting with the purpose of bringing together researchers to share the latest studies in cognitive neuroscience. The 4-day event is filled with invited symposia, symposia, poster sessions, awards, a keynote address, and most importantly the opportunity to connect with peers from around the world.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the CNS Annual Meeting, planned for March 13-16, 2021 was held virtually. The CNS provided live access to all meeting events, including keynote and award talks, symposia, data blitz talks, poster sessions, exhibitors, and live chats with “on-demand” viewing are available.
