Abijith Kamath is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the CIBM SP EPFL Mathematical Imaging Section, headed by Prof. Michael Unser. He received the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science in 2026, under the supervision of Prof. Chandra Sekhar Seelamantula, where he worked at the intersection of sampling theory and inverse problems for event-driven computational imaging. His research interests include sampling theory, optimization, and machine learning for solving inverse problems in medical imaging. He was a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship and the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship India (2025).
