A Milestone for Switzerland’s 7T MRI Community
The first Swiss Ultra-High-Field (7T) MRI Symposium was held on June 3, 2026, at Sitem-Insel in Bern, bringing together the national 7T MRI community. The event gathered physicists, engineers, technicians, and physicians from the four Swiss 7T sites across Bern, Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich.
Jointly organized by leading 7T experts from these institutions, the symposium attracted over 90 participants throughout the day. It featured high-level presentations from both regional and international experts, which sparked dynamic discussions during the Q&A sessions and closing exchanges, highlighting the strong engagement and growing momentum within the community.
The meeting marked an important step toward strengthening collaboration in ultra-high-field MRI and advancing its translational applications in Switzerland.
We extend our sincere thanks to all speakers and participants for their valuable contributions and insights, as well as to our sponsors for their support.
Organisers and attendees alike appreciated the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and explore future directions together. The success of this inaugural edition lays a solid foundation for future symposia.
