James Bardet is an Imaging Data Engineer in the CIBM Data Science CHUV-HUG Imaging for Precision Medicine Section  hosted in the Department of Radiology, Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). He develops inter-institutional imaging data science infrastructure and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to advance medical imaging research. His expertise includes data engineering, ETL workflows, advanced image processing, semantic annotation, and the deployment of containerized pipelines by community and clinical standards. He is also jointly affiliated with the Lundin Family Brain Tumour Research Centre, where he builds tools for the CHUV-Lundin brain tumor database.
Previously, James served as a Junior Data Scientist at the Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital, where he designed and deployed automated image analysis pipelines for adaptive optics retinal imaging, integrating machine learning and software engineering to support clinical research. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from EPFL.
