SUMMARY:e-symposium: Thalamic nuclei imaging, segmentation and applications
DESCRIPTION:\nInterested in the thalamus or thalamic nuclei?\nCurrent state-of-the-art methods for visualization and segmentation of thalamic nuclei are still lagging behind. The purpose of this first-of-its-kind e-symposium is to bring together a wide range of international researchers together to address this challenging and critical problem of accurate and fast segmentation of thalamic nuclei as well as validation and application of these methods in basic neuroscience and clinical applications. Each day of the 3-day symposium will focus on a specific theme area, with keynote lectures, invited lectures, and round table discussions.\nOur colleague, Meritxell Bach Cuadra (Head SP CHUV UNIL Computational Neuroanatomy & Fetal Imaging Section) is co-organising the event and will also participate with two FLASH talks about their work on thalamic nuclei imaging, segmentation and large scale analysis at 3T and 7T MRI. Finally, she will moderate, together with Jean-Philippe Ranjeva (Aix-Marseille Université) the round table on the first day on “Imaging acquisitions and image processing methods”.\nMore information about the event here.\n
